Hi aunty. I don't mean to be of any offense, but, don't you think macarons should be left to be prepared with more western ingredients? As using "asian" fillings etc, we are kind of taking the magic away from it. I'm saying this cos my dad worked as a baker in france for around 30 odd years and I think he would be shocked to see such flavours. Your other bakes are wonderful though. Just thought Id give my 2 cents worth =)

Hi Heidi,

I used the juice from the red dragon fruit to make these macarons and mixed the mashed fruit with butter cream.

Hi makella helme,

Wow...I must take my hats off to your dad. thumbs up!!

Nowadays we talk about fusion so no harm doing all sorts of flavours. We will be veru backwards if we don't move forward and create new flavours. Our macarons over here has all sorts of flavours selling in the shop and your dad will certainly faint if he comes over. Your dad shoud see the amount of Japanese buns that our "Bread Talk" created. He will faint with the amount of varieties and they are still coming up with all sorts of funny flavours...

Nice talking to you makella. Don't worry...I'm certainly glad to hear from you.

Hi Aunty.

Good to know that you did not take any offense in my message. You are very understanding.

Yes, indeed, my father would faint!....I'd better not let him see all these new concoctions! But who knows, even though the elderly people love old fashioned things, he might, hopefully, even like new flavors!

He's kind of old now, and retired, so he doesn't do much baking anymore. He said he needs a break from it. Thanks

Ya Mikella ..bet your dad must be very tired already but I think once a while he would love to bake too. You know with our passion for baking, we can never stop. Thumbs up to your dad. I maybe a fan of his.
