wow! Aunry, thumbs up for the masterpiece! you are always creative when it comes to moonies..
haha..
btw aunty, i have a question for you regarding snow skin mooncakes.
The snow skin mooncakes are usually soft within the first few days but they become quite hard after a few days in the fridge right? I heard it is because I am not using crisco shortening because crisco is of better quality. Is that true?
And we must not knead the dough too much or it will harden fast rite?

Hi Yoyo,

I think it's normal that a snow skin will turn hard after a week. The only way to preserve it is to place in airtight containers and thaw it before consuming it. Any shortening will be just as good. It's not the Crisco thing.

Don't knead the snow skin too much cos it will make it chewy and makes wrapping more difficult.
