Dear Aunty Yochana

May I know what these roses are made of?
Where can I learn how to make them?

Thanks & Rgds

Hi Helen,

These roses are just egg white and icing sugar. Mix them together , drop a drop of colouring, mix evenly and pipe into roses. I learnt these when I was in my early twenties....from Smiling Orchid. Now I think Judy Koh from Creative Culinaire and BIY are teaching.

Ah Amrita,

I remembered the little flower that you made in my house and instantly I knew you have nimble fingers and you will do well...

well, aren's tthese roses edible? i thought them to be. we get only butter, icing sugar here. no meringue powder. you piped them beautifully.i love to bake too. unfortunately, i have a oven toaster griller. i am not sure at what temp i can bake cookies. the manual doesn't help though. also, my cake rises like a dome(eggless cake). i don't open the oven door often. just once. i wish to make a perfect cake with perfect icing.i can't even cut a cake into 2. i wish i could see you bake coz i love love love baking a lot and wish to learn many many things.your site helps a lot. my good luck i found your site some days back. thanks for the wonderful recipes.
