Hi Aunty,

I love your blog, visit frequently, great recipes! Makes me feel in touch with my roots as I'm born and raised in Europe but family is from Malaysia/HK.

I was wondering why this is called mooncake? It looks like the wife cake "lo pho peng"

Hi anonymous,

this is not "lou poh peng", the filling are lotus paste mixed with chicken floss. I love this...very delicious.

Hi Yochana:

I took a short hiatus from surfing and you’ve done kazillion bakes already, wow! When I need to drool, you know where I’ll be hanging out..of course, Yochana’s ‘drooling’ café! Yum, ai yoh, no control but to drool! J))

I saw your Sesame Chicken Floss Crispy Mooncake & mushroom sambal mooncake - are they both of the same pastry? When I saw your Sesame chicken floss crispy mooncake, it brought back the memories of tau sar peah. Would you say they are close? If so, would you be so kind to share the recipe?

Thank you so much and continue to bake all these yummies, I am happy to see your ‘surprise’ on the blog. Great & fantastic outcome as always.

Cheers and greetings from Canada

Christine

p/s: do keep in touch J)

Hi christine,

I copy and paste your msg over it.
