Hi aunty,

i've been waiting for your cheesecake class. when is it starting?

Hi Aunty, I've tried making macarons, but the bottom always stick to the baking sheet, and when I pull them out, they end up being hollow shells. What am I doing wrong? and also, is there a way to prevent the macarons from browning?

Hi Aunty Yochana,

Your macaroons are so PERFECT!!! I had some egg whites leftover from CNY bakes and so I tried making macaroons this morning for the 1st time (from your chocolate macaroon recipe)but FAILED miserably! My macaroons don't have feet and cracked on the top. Do you know what went wrong? Also, I couldn't find powdered almond so I grounded it till fine but not powdery like milk powder. Do you think it might cause the problem or it just affect the texture of the macaroons? Please help as I would like to try again.

Thanks,
Regina

Hi Regina

Home blended ground almonds normally produce oily ground almonds, so the chances of a failure is 100%.

Hi E,

when it sticks, it means that your macarons are uncooked.

Some chefs teaches how to throw water at the bottom of the paper for easy removal but I prefer to use silpat mat.

I haven't find shops that sells almond flour... until I do, I just gawked at your macarons.. So, please more photos of macarons. Let me drool sil vous plait LOL

I really hope to stay longer in Singapore in my future trips to find classes to bake this beauties.

You really got the 'baking fingers'.. keep up the delicious work!
