HI Melinda,

Actually the doughnuts are very easy to do... once you learn the buns, you'll be able to make doughnuts. Unless there are really a lot of you who wants to learn doughnuts using the pate fermentee style.

Hi Aunty Yochana

What are the 5 flavours you have? Bet it is better than J Co.

Hi Andrea,

These are just using chocolate to coat then sprinkle nuts and varlhorna balls. Woah...J co (my favourite), will slap me for spoiling their image. I'm no where near them.

I will make the strawberry filling, peanut filling and the hainanese kaya filling soon...

Hi Aunty Yochana

Filling? You have a way to add filling into the doughnuts. This is fun. With the many varieties of patterns and deco and flavours, no wonder we can't get enough of the good old doughnuts. Just need to taste them all. I think J Co has whipping cream in one of the fillings.

Hi Aunty Yochana,

Your doughnuts looks like store bought! One question, when ever I do doughnuts the icing that i spread on top always looks very transparent. Can you please tell me how do you do the icing? Thanks!

hi edda,

It could be that your fried doughnuts are too oily and what you can do is to dip a couple of times, then it won't be transparent.

Hi Aunty Yochana,

I'm a new visitor to ur blog and you are simply AMAZING!!!! You are baking faster than i can read. I am also very very keen to attend your class in future if schedule permits. Esp if you ever give class on Macarons, it's one of my favourite dessert but i will not venture into it with my lousy baking skills :p

In any case, really very keen to attend any of ur class in future. My email address is cindytsl@yahoo.com

thanks a lot :)

Cindy

Dear Yochana,

How I wish I could attend your baking class. The state, I am presently lived is in Ipoh, Perak.

What is pate fermentee style? Can you share with me on how to maintain the softness of the doughnut overnite without needing to add any additives?

Thanks.

Jenny.

Aunty

Your doughnuts are so cute.
Can I bake doughnuts instead of frying then add the choc coating?

Hi Beth,

Definitely you can bake them but it's not nice...taste like an ordindary bun to me. I prefer it fried. They are more fragrant and delicious.
