Crunchy Oat Delight





Ingredients : (A)

125 gm. Butter
1 Tbsp. shortening
1/8 tsp. salt
80 gm. castor sugar
1 tsp. cappuccino paste or coffee paste
1/4 tsp. Bicarbonate of Soda

Ingredients : (B)

30 gm. Oats - Quaker brand - toasted and blended
30 gm. Cocoa Crunch - crushed with your hands

Ingredients (C):

150 gm. Plain Flour
30 gm. Cornflour
1 Tbsp. Rice flour

Decoration:

Cooking chocolate , eggs and Nestum

METHOD:

(1) Beat ingredients (A) till creamy.
(2) Add in (B) , followed by (C) and mix into a dough.
(3) Roll the dough into small oval shape, dip into the beaten eggs and roll over the Nestum. Place onto baking tray and bake at preheated oven at 140C for about 30 mins. or till crispy.
(4) Cool the cookies and dip one end of the cookie into melted cooking chocolate. Then place into paper cups and serve.

They are like cornflakes. Go to any supermarket and you'll be able to find it under the cereal section.

wish to ask for the oats..can i used those rolled oats? do i still need to toast it? and by the way what do you mean by blended?

and as for the shortening issit possible to replace with other thing?

Yes you can use rolled oats.

Blended means - put the oats into the electric blend and blend it for awhile.

you toast for 5 -8 mins at 160C.
