Hi anonymous,

Most lotus paste sold at the retails shops are very sweet. They have to be sweet in order to preserve the lotus paste and to prevent it from turning mouldy. The only lotus paste that is not so sweet and to your taste is...your own Lotus paste. If i do come across lotus paste that are not so sweet, I will let u know.

Hi anonymous,

You can try Sun Lik. I bought 1kg from them last week. I found that their is not too sweet and has a very nice lotus seed taste.

Hi elsie,

the Lotus paste recipe is already in my blog under "Traditional Mooncakes". Omit the caramel sugar and add in pandan juice.
