Hi anonymous,

It has a chewy texture...I got the flour from Zhong Yong. The address is under Black Sesame Mochi Bread comments. I also bought the mochi bread flour from them.

Yochana,

How's the taste of this Crystal Mochi Mooncakes compared to the Japanese Mochi ones ?

I think I better start to do mine :)

hi bk,

this is more chewy. Not bad actually. You can see from the cross section of the mooncakes that they are quite transparent.

better do lah before it turns mouldy.

Yummilicious!!! what flavors are the skins? Mochi flour is not the same as fried or regular glutinous flour, right? Here in Florida I can buy latter but not mochi flour. Do you know what it's called in cantonese?? My sister in law is on her way from HongKong to visit us and she's bringing me some "crystal" bingpei (snowskin)flour that I ordered from Twinsco. I wondered if that's the same as your mochi flour?? Regards from Anita

Hi Anita,

I'm sure H.K. has mochi flour. Florence from Do What I like will be the best person to ask. this mochi skin has a chewy kind of feeling when you bite into it (QQ).
