that's one beautiful chiffon cake. i'm dying to try one.. never tasted one before. aunty, can you teach me how to change large chiffon recipes to fit a 18cm chiffon pan since i'm going to buy a small one. thanks in advance :)
it depends on the recipe. For a 25cm to 27 cm chiffon cake pan, it can take about 8 eggs. For 20 cm, you can use a 4 eggs recipe. For 18 cm. it's about 3 . 16 cm chiffon cake pan is about 2 eggs.
I hope this helps you in choosing your pan. I would advise you to buy at least more than one pan cos sometimes you volume might differ.
Wow! So nice! Your chiffon cakes are so nice and I finally plucked up enough courage to try this not-so-easy cake. Tried your strawberry chiffon recipe and it tastes really yummy! Thanks for sharing the recipe.
i would really appreciate it if you could share your recipes on the green tea red bean chiffon cake and also the green tea tiramisu cake. I would really love to try these.
I have made green tea chiffon cake before, just wondering how much reb beans you add. Thanks a lot!
hi aunty, I love to bake chiffon cake also, just wanted to check with you, sometimes my chiffon cake very soft ...is it too much egg white? I love your chiffon cake (very firm).
May I know how u achieve those crumbs on top of the cake? Sometimes the green tea cake purchased at stores are of a vibrant green, issit due to the quality of matcha powder used or coloring is added? Thanks.
hi aunty lucy, May i know how did you remove the chiffon cake from the tin so nicely? When i remove mine, the sides ('the skin') usually sticks to the tin. and i can't oil the tin, coz chiffon cake need un-greased sides isn't it.
to remove the cake from the pan, just use a sharp knife and press it against the pan and slide it round. Most importantly, the cake must be cooked and brown otherwise you will not get a nice edge.
Anuty, can i know where u get the red beans? the one i bought is too sweet fr. Daiso. and also can i used green tea drinking powder..??i get a big can from a taiwan friend.
Aunty, I LOVE Green Tea! And I love all the stuff you bake! Could I have the recipe for chiffon cake please? I would like it to make it for my mother's birthday. :) since she loves green tea products as much as me!
Could you please post or email me the recipe? THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! :D whee.junk@gmail.com

Hi wai wai,
Too much egg white or too little flour could be the main reason.

Hi CC,
Those are streusel which means rubbin method of sugar, butter, flour, green tea powder n then bake at low temp till crispy.
Natural green tea colour is always on the army green look. You can get the nice looking colour green tea from sun lik. I got mine from there.

Hi Rachaeline,
