    How unusual.I have never heard of alkaline cake before.Care to elaborate on the cake please?Is cocoa powder used to obtain the colour?Is this a traditional delicacy?How does it taste?

    Hi angela,

    I did not use cocoa powder. The alkaline water caused the cake to turn brown and i also used brown sugar.
