Hi Aunty,
I am so ignorant. I don't know Chi Ku can be eaten. I thought people just grow it during Chinese New Year. How does it taste like? Is it nice?
I didn't know that this sort of chips is made from chi ku! I thought it's some sort of vegetable..? Haha.. nevertheless, can you share how u managed to slice it so thinly to make into chips?

Thks!
Hi Serendipity,
I used a slicer to slice it, then deep fry it and sprinkle some salt over it.

HI Liying,
Chi ku is nice to eat. You can eaten slice it and then cook with other vegetable. I normally fry it with carrots, mushrooms and some meat.

Hi Aunty,
Wah, then I must go to market tomorrow, get some and try it. Thanks.
Hi Aunty Yo,
Do you just slice the FRESH chi ku and fry? Must we sun-dry the chi ku slices first?
Hi bluecrystal,
I never sun it. I just slice thinly it and then fry it.

This is very yummy ! I'm ignorant too, thought it's only meant for "growing" during the Chinese New Year. Now must go and get some to fry it.
I've been looking all over the place for arrowroot chips here in nyc. can't find any at all. but still too lazy to fry my own. :p
