Hi Aunty,

Your steam cake look very neat and nice. Are all the steam cake recipes almost the same? What you did is it just play around with the ingredients? I had found this 'Steam cake with pork floss' recipe which used the whisking method (whisking eggs and sugar together) and I was a bit confused on the steaming process, need your advice. In this recipe it sandwich the batter and pork floss together and steam. The result was that the pork floss in the centre portion sank to the bottom. Should I steamed it layer by layer and how long should it take to steam one layer (8" square tin)?

Hi Liying,

ya...I think you should steam it layer by layer. This will prevent the pork floss from sinking.
