Hi Aunty,
Your moonies are beautiful. All evenly glazed. I made some last nite but comes out not so nice. I glazed them and the color is not that nice. Actually after baking for the last 10 minutes, they came out quite pale so I bake for another few more minutes. It taste quite dry. Is it because I overbake? After coming out of the oven it's still quite soft but after a while, the skin turns hard. Is it suppose to be like that? Sorry for asking so many questions.

Lucy, your mooncakes look like it is produced from a bakery. When I saw how many you were baking, I just went WOW. And they are beautifully shaped and the colour is so even. How did you get the colour so even? Oven temp?

Hello hugbear,

I guess it's the oven that gave the even colour. I didn't have any special skill on it. Your mooncakes are nice too...

Hi delia,

my mooncakes are always soft even when it's out of the oven.

If you mooncakes are hard, let it sit for a couple of days for the skin to absorb the oil from the paste and it will definitely turn soft.
