Hi Aunty,
When I saw the coconut candy, it reminds me my childhood days. My mum & my aunty always make this candy for me & my cousins. I think the last time I ate this candy 20 yrs ago. Really love the candy. If you don't mind, can you post the recipe here?

Aunty, I need to ask your favour, do you have sugee cake recipe? If you do, can you post it here? TQ very much in advance.

Hi Aunty Yochana,

I have been visiting your website regularly and always amazed by your creations (and also the number of goodies churned out each day). Do you conduct baking classes at your place? I believe many will be eager to learn from you.

Hi Aunty,
sorry to ask you again. I try to find the rich sugee cake recipe under your blog index, but couldn't find it. I've checked all the postings, the only thing that I can find is sugee cake photo in February 2007 archive. Aunty, may I know which website that you're refering to? Sorry to bother you again. TQ.

Hi Aunty,

Finally, I found the recipe. Thank you very much. I will give a try, hopefully it turns out ok.

In the recipe, it asked to cream butter & sugar with medium speed & to pour milk & semolina flour. Do I have to cream the butter + sugar until it becomes fluffy like butter cake method? TQ aunty.

Aunty Yochana said...

HI Ann,

Yes, you have to cream the butter and sugar till pale in colour but not watery.

Dear Aunty,

How long does it take for the mixture to thicken? Can I use fresh milk in place of evaporated milk? Thank you very much.

Aunty Yochana said...

Oh No anonymous.

It's better to use condense milk. I think it will be tasteless if you use fresh milk.

Hi Aunty,

This sure reminds me of the days when my mom made these.

Would you be able to tell me what the proportions would be if I wanted to use condensed milk instead?

Thanks.

Would you be able to tell me what the proportions would be if I wanted to use only condensed milk?

Hi Aunty,

How do you measure 170gm of evaporated milk? Is it 170ml?

Can I use packet dessicated coconut instead?

Thanks!
