Hi Aunty Yochana, Your pictures of what you baked makes me so envious! I love baking and cooking since dunno when and lately, I've picked up some baking. Most of the time, I baked cheesecake. But the standard always varied. :( Can you teach me how to "water" bake cheesecake so that it does not crack? Also, how to ensure that the cheesecake turns out well all the time? Thank you.
Steam bake....place your prepared cheesecake into a tray of hot water and place it into the oven. Wrap your cheesecake with an aluminium foil to prevent seepage of water if you are using a springform tin.
To prevent cracks, bake at 160C for about an hour and use ingredients which are at room temperature.
Hi Aunty Yochana, Thank you very much for taking the effort to explain. I shall try it the next time I bake my cheesecake. I have always read about steam bake, but dunno how to. So I would need to wrap my springform tin with aluminium foil. Thanks so much!! Keep posting your "works"...I'll update you again the next time I bake my cheesecake! :)
Gosh aunty you make me very very hungry just looking at your pictures. All the blueberry filling oozing out of the pastry... Can almost taste it... Aiyoh!!! I feel so embarassed!
