Aunty, you're all prepared for mid autumn already! Pei fu pei fu...
Always looking forward to your posts. I had a fantastic time last year drooling over the various mooncakes posted. Do you think you could share the tecnique of shaping your piggy cookies (they look so cute dressed up with bow)?
Aunty, All gear up for the mid autumn festival already. Can I ask you whether we can use the mooncake syrup that has been cooked for just over a week to make the baked mooncake? Thanks!
I must admit that I am not a fan of mooncakes due to their supersweet taste. The range of mooncakes U hv made, fr the traditional to the modern version, is simply an art form. Very pretty indeed & the designs are special too.
hi, yochana Bedankt!!(thank you in dutch) I'll sure do it. If I make golden syrup now, would it be too late? I'll be back to m'sia & S'pore this summer in august. do you know where can I buy bakings needs in m'sia and s'pore? It is not available in netherland(holland) even in rotterdam where I lived. May be I'll have tasty piglet but will look very ugly. HAhhahhahahahah....... Warmest Greeting from Rotterdam!

Thank you for sharing again.

delia,
My mooncake syrup is minimum 1 year old. The longer you keep the better the skin is. It will be soft and not hard like rock.

Thanks aunty. So I have to start cooking my syrup this year then only I can make my mooncake next year.
hi yochana
do u mind to share 'piglet' mooncake recipe? I'm netherlands now, can't find it. They sell only mooncake but not piglet.
hi qq red apple,
actually the mooncake recipe is already in my blog. All you need to do is to mould it with your hands into a piglet.

hi Q Q apple,
for Singapore, you can buy your baking ingredients from Sun Lik at 33, Seah Street (next to Raffles Hotel) and Phoon Huat.
Which part of Malaysia are you referring to? Perhaps I can give you some addresses...
