Hi Auntie Yochana, I've been a fan of your lovely blog ever since I'm addicted to baking. I love to look at your beautiful pictures and hoping that I'm able to produce such wonderful goods too (and I believe I will...one day).
One thing I'm curious is, how do you manage to finish everything you've made everyday? You seem to be baking 3 4 items everyday and I'm wondering, do you and your family finished them (or if you can't, I wouldn't mind being the garbage bin of yours yea)?
I love your blog and continue to bake wonderful stuff!!! =D
i jus finished my exams and love to destress by lookin at all ur bakes.. i am wondering if u will still share ur recipes on the blog? or will u e-mail it?
i do hope u continue to help grow our passion of baking thanks..
Hi Auntie, Your baking and decorating skills are superb. When are you going to update your recipes so I can learn more from you? Thanks for sharing. MamaCat
They called it sandy because of the chestnut flour which gives a nutty flavour. This is not the normal chestnut flour that is used for thickening sauce. This is real chestnut blended into very fine flour. Can buy from BIY at Bukit Timah Road. 100 gm - S$7-50

Hi Auntie Yochana, thanks for replying!!! Also, can I ask you one question? What's the difference between heavy whipping cream and whipping cream? Seems like I've only seen whipping cream around in supermarket. Thanks a lot!!!
Heavy cream - can use double cream of whip cream with 35% fat e.g. President, Elle Vire, Even, Fuschille.
Whipping cream - could be dairy and non dairy cream. Dairy cream is also the same as heavy cream. Non dairy cream..single cream . Can use Pour N whip, Value Pride, Rich, many many more.

Hi Yochana
I still have a tub of chestnut puree deep frozen in the fridge. Can you shoot me the recipe too. No hurry. Take your time. Thanks.
Rusti,
for the cake you need chestnut flour. For creaming, I used French Buttercream mixed with chestnut puree.

- ANgie
Angie,
I really have no secret in baking. I just open up my books and start baking....I think baking with love is the answer.
Angie, on the serious note, I think it's because I bake daily so the experience is there.

i believe oven n mixer does play a part too...i oso trying to bake often n once u start the engine it will be smooth one day...just keep on trying :)
