Hi Kim,a lot of misconceptions that people have when making brownies is that they wait until the toothpick inserted in comes out clean, but the perfect brownies must have a toothpick coming out with MOIST crumbs clinging to it. It continues to cook as it cools. Try that and no matter which recipe you bake,it will be good.

'...the perfect brownies must have a toothpick coming out with moist crumbs clinging to it. It continues to cook as it cools...'

Can i use this tip for baking moist chocolate cake or the tip is for brownies only? Anyway thank you for sharing the tip...it is a good to share.

HI anonymous,

It depends on what kind of moist chocolate that you are making. If it's close to brownie type, then you can test like what Stef said and using ganache to decorate. But if the cake needs creaming with whipped cream then you have to make sure the cake is cooked.
