Hi jadelotus,

Use any cookie recipe, roll round balls and stick them together. For piping, I use Royal Icing.

Hi didally, thanks for your kind words.

Hi anonymous.

mmm..buns crispy on top but soft inside..sounds like your top heat is hotter than the bottom heat. Try to cut down on your baking time then and don't glaze too much. Did you glaze your buns? If you didn't glaze is also a problem, if you baked the buns till they are brown, then the crust outside will be hard.

yochana, u mould the santas one by one har? not cookie press!(wow) how do u make the "red" suit for santas? Thanks.

jadelotus.

Hi Jadelotus,

Yes I used my hands to mould them one by one. I didn't wear the shirt for santa..hahaha..I added red edible colouring into my dough and mould it.

yochana,

i used the fan oven to bake the bun.i glaze it with butter.the buns dat come out frm the oven, the top's not even golden brown.it's already crispy, inner soft.

Hi anonymous,

Try not to use fan to bake your buns. Use the normal convection oven with top and bottom heat and glaze your buns with beaten eggs rather then butter. The butter could be baking your crust till crispy.

yochana,
for yr info, mine top and btm heat is a fan mode? any advise?

the dough size is 40cm by 22cm.i find the dough rather big for me to handle.do you think it's beta for me to cut the dough and roll it 2x separately? i find the rolling edges doesnt show much swirls.

sori huh,did i say i m making cinnamon rolls? the day b4,i oso make bread, the result cum out too.
