Lucy ... this is a lovely castle cake. The details of the bricks are so realistic. The bundt pan , I think comes at a heavy price.

Lucy, nice bake. Can I ask for tips on getting the cake out as sometimes, especially if have intricate designs, hard to get the cake out nicely and in one piece! tks_jean

Hi jean,

for this castle madeira cake, I did not even grease my pan and it came beautifully cos the pan itself is non-stick.

You can grease your pan with shortening then sprinkle some flour onto it and shake out excess flour from the pan and it should be no problem taking the cake out.
