Can I do away with the "bottom" sponge layer? Or can I replace it with Oreo layer? Pls advise. Thanks.

Hi Mool,

you can do away with the sponge , the only thing is that it's more difficult lift nicely from the pan and oreo base will be good.

I tried your butter cake recipe & many of my family members said was gd. Thanks so much. By the way, I have some cream cheese (about 500gm) balance. Can I use your recipe for butter cheese cake, replace the
100 gm diced cheddar cheese with my cream cheese & follow the rest of the ingredients?

Hi Marie,

No..you cannot use cream cheese to make. It must be cheddar cheese.
