Hey aunty, may i know what kind of colouring you use for the macarons? I have liquid colouring but i heard it would spoil the meringue, what type of colouring do you recommend i use? thanks!

Use coloured powder.

meringue is egg white beaten with sugar.

May i know which type of powdered food coloring did u used? I cant find any in Phoon Huat. They only have food coloring in water or paste form.

what do you do with the egg yolks leftover from the recipe? Can you freeze them?

Hi Joanne,

egg yolks can make Kek Lapis.

egg yolks cannot keep and cannot be frozen. They cannot be exposed to air cos they will form a skin on top.
