  3. Thanks Yaha for your compliments.

Jean..this is easy to do. The small figurines are more difficult because they are so tiny.

  25. Aunty, this looks so nice! Your fondant cakes have been getting better and better lately.

Your cake reminds me of home - I want to be home for CNY, so sien. Though I brought back almost 8 containers of CNY cookies, haha. And I want to go for more classes too!

Hope all is well with you. x

  28. aunty, i've problem with fondant. THe dough x stick onto hands when kneading but the problem comes after i've cut into paterns. The surface gradually turned sticky and glossy. So i've to add more icing sugar but the same problem happened the following day. All the emboss design just disappear..Why is that so? Was it because i did it on a rainy cool day? TQ

  29. hi adeline,

your fondant is store-bought or you made it yourself? It shouldn't be what you have described.

  30. it's handmade fondant. Is there anything wrong with my recipe?

    1 Tbsp gelatine
    60ml water
    3Tbsp glucose
    2 Tsp Glycerine
    1kg icing sugar

Kindly advice as i've stayed till 5AM just to complete the deco as i've to redo and redo again! All my effort's wasted. TQ

  31. Hi adeline,

your fondant recipe: You are using it to cover the cake or are you moulding into figurines? Normally I use sugar paste for figurines and Marshmallow fondant for covering cakes.
