Hi aunty Yochana
Your orange chiffon cake looks so good.
Do you mind to share the recipe? i love to bake chiffon cakes but mine is never so tall!!
Would you mind posting recipe? And what is your technique that your chiffon cake doesn't deflate? Do you oil and grease the angel food cake pan? Thanks!
Hope all's well with you. How do you remove the cake from the pan? Have tried various utensils but every time, the sides are badly "disfigured" by the time it comes out from the pan?
Hello Aunty, Thanks for the recipes. Last week, i made the pandan chiffon cake but the bottom part of the cake turned out to be very dense. I thought maybe i didn't mix it well and i greased the pan. Then last night i tried making the orange chiffon cake without greasing the pan and tried my best to fold the egg whites in properly. It was tall and looked fluffy towards the end of cooking. I was so happy then..But when i used a skewer to check to see if it was cooked, it deflated! maybe becos i poked too many holes..aiyahhh..failed again...it was soft and fragrant, but it's more like a sponge cake..haha.. :)
Wow! I am very impress with your Orange Chiffon Cake. I like to bake chiffon cakes, but they always cracked on top. Can you tell me why? Do you mean the chiffon cake has to be taken out immediately from the cake tin as soon as it's baked, and invert on a rack? I invert the cake tin with the cake still inside, and leave to cool.

Hi Claire,
Never grease your angel food pan.
Invert the cake on a cooling rack while cooling.

I just use a sharp knife to loosen the edge and lift it up.

Oh so sad Jingyi..your chiffon cake sounds like a balloon to me. I guess you have to keep practicing till it doesn't deflate.

Hi Ange
firstly, your tin could be too small.
Yes what you did is correct. Invert with the tin until it's completely cooled.
