Hi therre, which brand of Almond flour do you use? :) Where do you get it from? Or do you grind your own almonds?

Didn't you get to eat the macarons that day?

Dear Aunty Yochana,
Yes, I did ate 2 that day but not enough, haha.... too greedy!!

Joking with you, i am at home studying with my kids while browsing through your website and saliva drops!!! Hope that I am your neighbour, everyday can see your bakes.

After your Bun Class, I think you need to organise a Macarons Class.

Melinda

Thanks! =) How about those ground almond at Cold storage? Eg. bake king, or those at phoon huat? btw, where can I get teflon paper? Is it cheaper than the silicon mat? Around how much does it cost? Sorry I'm a student on a budget :(

Oh yes, do you know why the feet will spread out too much and the top will flatten?

Hi Vicki.

I also don't know why. Did you put colouring? It normally happens if you put in the colouring. Frankly speaking, It happened to me before but I perserve and kept on practicing...
teflon, try sun lik or pastry mart. They do have it.

Hmm, I didn't add food colouring. However, I did add powdered matcha. :/ Yepp... Is it a must to use POWDERED food colouring? If so, where can I find them in Sg?

Hi Melinda,

Looks like it...after that you don't have to spend big money on macarons. You can make yourself.

Hi Aunty,

Can keep some for me until 12th oct. One bite and I already fall in love with your macarons, it really fantastic. If you are going to start a macarons class, I want to sign up first. I still have some egg white in my freezer waiting to make macarons only.

Hi Aunty,
Like Vicki, I also like to know whether I can use ground almond from bake king or phoon huat, or you need special type of ground almond powder. Thanks.

Aunty Yochana said...

Hi Kium and Vicki,

So sorry I missed replying that...any ground almonds can still work. There is no special ground almonds for macarons. Even a simple nut like groundnut can still work, so don't worry.

Hi Auntie Yochana

Just wanted to know if you dry out your almond meal in the oven after buying it, or if you use it straight from the bag as purchased from Sun Lik? Do you further grind it in a processor with the icing sugar?

Thanks so much!
