Aunty,I am wondering if I could ask a favour of you.I am looking for a moist chocolate cake recipe using cocoa powder.I have tried various recipes both from books and blogland but failed miserably. They weren't as moist as claimed.I am at the end of my rope not to mention poorer due to the many failed attempts. Please aunty,as you are such a talented and passionate baker, could you post a chocolate cake and its accompanying recipe. Thanking you in advance. Grace-Ann.
Hi there, it's me again.. Not sure how old Donny Osmond or Michael Jackson is, but for sure they're in my age group!! Just want you to know visiting your blog is my daily retreat - my instant getaway (to Singapore, maybe? hehe..:) with the touch of a button. Drooling over your daily creations sure helps forget all my troubles and stress, oh well, at least for the moment!!! Your baking is so pro and put together so effortlessly.. Do you always have pre-baked cake layers & butter/whipped cream ready at hand so it's just assembling and appling the finishing touch? just wondering, when you come up with 4 or 5 eye pleasers, how much time do you spend in your kitchen from start to finish? for me, baking a dressed up cake is time consuming unless its done in stages ahead of time.. Thanks again for sharing your passion. It takes a pro to be a pro. Much admiration to you- Anita(Cantonese Chinese)
Normally moist chocolate cakes has water added into the batter then only it can become moist. Cakes are very subjective, some find it moist enough while others prefer more moist than that. I don't know about my recipe but I can't promise that my chocolate cake will suit your taste.

Thanks - Anita

I used Croquant for the side of the cake. You can buy it from Sun Lik.

It's the mousse that has lemon flavour.

Hi Anita (Cantonese name).
I don't prepare in advance. I normally do it on the spot.
Nice chatting with you.
BTW, we sure are of the same age group.
