Hi everyone ,

I've received a comment by someone with the nickname KC under "Coffee Eclairs" claiming that I have workers and most of my bakes are done by workers. Here it goes:

Hmmmm.....I always thought your workers are the one who makes all those delicious looking desserts...........KC

Hi KC,Workers??? I have only one philippino maid who knows nothing.rgds

Oh really Lucy,because rumor has it(eye-witness!) all your baked goods were made by your workers..........KC

What a joke?? I wonder who are the eye-witness???? Who on earth will employ workers to do all the baking and distribute freely to friends and charity?????? I don't have so much money to employ workers just to do that.

So sorry KC ......I'm just a home baker with a philippino maid and my old mum has retired. I also have eye-witness to my skill and my office is entirely not connected to any baking. BTW, KC, you have not met me so you have no right to listen to others and make such comments in my blog.

Hi Aunt Yochana

We are behind you all the way. Let them say what they want....important is that your conscience is clear. No point to engage this person by replying as it would end up with no end to more ridiculous gossips and bad mouthing. All I know is that your recipes and your willingness to share is really great.

In the first place KC, why are you probing into other pple's business? Well, to be honest, Aunty Yochana does ALL the baking HERSELF. Being an EYE-WITNESS, I can testify for it, that EVERYTHING was DONE BY AUNTY YOCHANA. Are you thinking that things are too good to be true? That Aunty Yochana can't be genuine, magnanimous & gifted? Then slap yourself & wake up to reality. And if your comment of 'eye-witness' was true... well, let's put it bluntly: what comes around goes around. There's something called KARMA.

Oh my god aunty, i didnt know such ignorant and dumb people still exist. Sigh, ignore them aunty, they just plain irritating and got nothing better to do. They're more childish than the primary one kids. =)))

I bet KC is JEALOUS of you because she/he cant get to taste the scrumptious bakes that u've made. Unlucky kc, lucky me because i've see u bake with my own eyes and tasted ur yummy bakes before!

HEy KC..I wondered what u get from doing out of that. U knw, Its bad to create stupid rumors like that. I dnt see how ppl would want to emply workers just to get praises fr ppl. I believe aunty yo. I think U slhd ponder urself at home..or maybe i shld say ur just jealous u cant bake..u knw..ppl like u r ppl who always put ppl down..and u knw..karma is a bitch! so u better watch out and most..watch ur mouth. I have seen it myself that all the bakes were baked by Aunty Yochana herself. There are so many of us who have seen Yochana baking it.

I wonder where you heard the rumours from.

You can eat whatever you like, but be MINDFUL of your words, especially it's in black and white and on the internet.

hi aunty, i think these people are just jealous. plus they probably are bitter cause' you have the privilege to bake everyday whereas they don't. they probably don't have the time, money, resources that's why. i can fully understand.

I hope you learn from here that you cannot listen to others who gave you inaccurate info and made you a scapegoat.

You must understand that I give to charity , CCs and to many friends and fans and I have a lot of living witness.

I'm happy and proud that you stand up and apologise.

I can attest to Yochana's baking skills. I actually passed her a number of recipes that are very complex, which I went to learn at baking classes and dare not try it yet (find it too complex and also lazy to do). Whereas Aunty Yochana can reproduce these cakes that look better than what the instructor did in class!

This is how good Aunty Yochana is, "unseen" baking ! Similar to what we are tested in school ~~ "unseen poetry"

Reading through the comments, I'm glad it's "sunshine after the rain". At least KC knows the true you, rather than listening to some other "eye-witness". I suppose like what you said, he was the scapegoat to want to "embarrass" you. It must've been someone who could be jealous of what you baked and share with your readers.
Well, your conscience is clear, you have your faithful fans, so keep up your good bakes! :)

Always do remember, live for yourself and those that lives with you but not others that do not. I'm sure you've come across the word "BIG MOUTH". I reckon KC is one of that!!!

This is a comment from another Jeannie.I can just imagine the anger and hurt you feel from KC's comments. don't take it to heart...kind people like you will always be "persecuted" by the "sour kanas".

KC, I'm proud of you as you're noble enough to apologise. I'm sure Aunt Lucy has forgiven you. Never listen to others as there are some out there who can't appreciate Aunt Lucy's goodness. She could have easily written a book like Dorie Greenspan's "Baking from my home to yours" and earn big bucks but instead she chose to share her lovely recipes and tips with others.
We only pass this way but once so whatever good we can do, let's do it now.

Lucy dear, your fans truly love you for your kindness and generosity...we will never doubt you.

Let's close this chapter and move on to more beautiful bakes from you!

I applaude you for your magnanimous, and one should always think of the consequences before shooting rubbish of their own mouth. There is a chinese proverb that roughly translates into English meaning "True gold is not afraid of the burning fire" )
We know who is the true gold and that sometimes there may be some small fires along the way but eventually these fires will be extinguished. So just keep up your baking passion and love. Good morning, when I check your blog this morning, I was surprising to find such a comment by KC, firstly it is none of her business whether you have workers or not & she should't close her eyes to comment as if she knows everything. Aunty, do not bother about it & I understand how you feel. On the whole all are settle now or maybe she might have been made used of by a third party. Secondly, I am glad she had taken the initiative to apologize her mistake. Infact she apologize to all blog readers as well. I think we should accept her apology. All be settle & not keep in the heart & happy baking.
