Hi aunty, Your cake looks great! May I know how to slice the cake into 3 equal layers? Can u show me the method? Do I slice the cake when its cool? Thk!
Hi Aunty, ALL your bakes were great! Let me make a guess you have bought Alex Goh book 'Baking Code'. I just bought mine too. (",)Can't wait to try out some of his recipes.
Hi Aunty, Nice cake and I saw similar cake from one of the Taiwanese cookbooks. Did you get your chestnut paste from Sun Lik? If not, pls advise where is your source.
May i know what brand of whip cream u normally use? Did u add any ingredient to let the freshcream stay longer? What kind of red bean did u used for greentea swissroll?
I used 2 types of chestnut paste. I bought the Japanese one from Meidiya and the Hero's brand from Sun Lik. The whole chestnuts was bought from Meidi-ya.
I am hosting a couple of Swiss friends for dinner in the coming week. Can you please give me the recipe for the Chestnut Gateau? I know they will absolutely love it. Since I am base in London, it will not be possible for me to purchase a Alex Goh's cookbook.Thank you.
Where can you buy the Y3k and Alex Goh's cooking books? I tried to find them from the Popular online website, but they are not featured there. I want to get them when I'm back for summer vacation.
Hi aunty, Thk! Is the cake slicer make of a thin wire supported by 2 stands? I saw that at Phoon Huat quite long ago.Can I have Sun Lik and Chong trading address?

Hi cheery,
I used a cake ring to slice it.
You can buy cake slicer from Chong Trading or Sun Lik. It's a very thin wire.

Hi Angelia,
No need to go online....just go direct to POPULAR book store and you'll be able to find the books unless they're out of stock.
