I am always very into the way you decorate he sides of your cakes. Cuz I never an do a god job with the sides without having to end up covering the ugliness with almond slices or sponge fingers. And chempedak cake, FUSION!
Hi Aunty, You are very creative! Love your blog a lot, I can not cook, bake nor sew, what a.... I love chempedak, even the seeds, too. I have not tasted it for years, in Toronto we have durian, rambutan etc, but not Chempedak!
Thanks for sharing all your creation with us.........ST
Hi Aunty, What a beautiful cake, it must taste heavenly !!(already drooling) Is chempedak also known as "jackfruit"? Is this cake made with fresh ones or cans? I've never tasted fresh ones before, only from cans. I live in Florida with sunny tropical climate but I've rarely seen it sold here. How I miss all those exotic tropical fruits over there in SE Asia... Aunty, I would like to ask you in your recipes what do you mean by "2 nos eggs" is it simply 2 eggs? also, what is Kirsch known as here in the States? is there something equivalent to it? I'm planning to bake a cake for my husband for Father's Day, and I can't wait to see what Aunty will surprise us with on that day! :) Thanks a lot - Anita
Hi yochana, ur Gateau Chempedak looks so heavenly as all the rest of ur bakes. My only problem is,i cannot find the right words to describe them. With all ur talent, u should open a cooking school. i'm sure all ur classes will be full! i will come all the way fr penang to attend ur class.
