Ingredients:
2 cups Plain flour
1 cup Milk Powder of your choice
3/4 cup melted butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup any nuts of your choice
Method:
(1) Fry plain flour in a wok over low heat till flour turns light brown and cooked. Sieve flour into a mixing and let it cool.
(2) Mix in the rest of the ingredients and mix thoroughly.
(3) Press into a polvoron plunger and push it out. If you do not have a plunger, a small cake ring will work as well.
(4) Chill it till harden before wrapping.
(5) Leave at room temperature before serving.

ReplyDeleteI did not convert to gm. I just use a cup of measure. Scoop out the flour and give a little shake to level it. During frying add in a little more flour cos it will be lighter and drier after frying. For this Polvoron, plus minus is not a problem. This is a Non-failure Recipe.

ReplyDeleteyou can use any nuts which you like - chopped it up coarsely so that when you bite into it, it has a crunchy feeling.

No baking aunty? Easier work lah. Can i use a star shaped cookies cutter(quite big shape) if i dont have a plunger?where did u get yours? can we add cranberry bits? You're so kind aunty, sharing recipes with others. God bless you!!

as long as it's a ring, you can make polvoron. Make sure you press it tight then remove it from the ring and then chill it before wrapping.
