this looks beautiful aunty, the pastel colors reminds me of baby shower cakes! Does this cake taste heavily of yam?

Hi anuja,

Non dairy whipping creaming does not contain fat. e.g. Value Pride.

Hi aunty, I came across a recipe of steamed banana cake. But the recipe calls for resting the batter for about 2 hours first before steaming. May I know what is the purpose of doing that compared to your method of steaming it straight away?
The picture of the steamed banana cake is also very dark in colour. May I know how to achieve that colour? If it is dark enough, it will look like those sold outside right? Heheh.. trying to act professional.. =)
Thanks aunty..

aunty, may I know if you can share this recipe? Mother's day is coming and my mum loves yam cakes. It would be nice if she can try what I bake for her. Although I have bought a present for her, I guess she will be really happy if I can try making this for her right? ^.^
Thanks aunty!
Love you..

hi yochana,

this cake looks amazing

how can you make the layers so even??
is the pink strawberry sponge cake???
do you mind sharing the recipe??

thanks,

Hi anonymous,

I guess they need to rest the bananas to let react with the bicarbonate of soda.

Hi Kim.

I used a cake ring to slice off the top of the cake to make it even.
