Hi Aunty,

This afternoon, I fliped through the bakery book and I was wandering when are you going to bake 'Watermelon Egg Tarts' and here you are. Fast in action and nicely presented. Does this taste nice?

Hi Aunty,
I saw fr some kueh recipes that requires caltrop starch or 'shen fen'. What is this starch and can I replace it with something else as I cant find it anywhere?

Thanks!

Hi anonymous,

caltrop is eaten during the mooncake festival. It looks like a bull's horn.

You can replace it with arrow root flour,m sago flour or waterchestnut flour. Sometimes a simple tapioca flour will work as well.
