Hi Aunty Yochana,

the rum balls look delicious! Talking about rum, can you recommend which rum liqueor is suitable for baking? I only know of Myers and Captain Morgan dark rum but they can only be bought at the airport. Can you recommend others which I can get it in the supermarket?

Thanks

Hi aunty,
I'll email it tonight...

by the way.. one question regarding the marble cake.... it's hard to have so many layers like yours.... i mean the cream is a bit thick so do u spread it around??

Thanks,
Nina

Aunty Yochana said...

Hi Nina,

To achieve the layering, just scoop the batter on top of one another alternatingly.

Hi Cheryl,

I used the same rum as you have mentioned. You can get another rum that sun lik sells. I cannot remember the name but it's very expensive.

Hi aunty,
So u mean the layers doesn't have to fill the round cake tin base???

Thanks,
Nina

Hi bella cook,

The batter will flow to the side and just before you bake, give it a light thump onto the table and it will be even on top.

Thanks so much aunty! Can I use leftover bread instead?

Aunty Yochana said...

Hi Yuri,

Bread? I've not tried that. If you want to experiment with it, you have to add in more chocolate to make it sweeter.

Hi Aunty Yochana,

I have just bought the ingredients. Before I attempt, may I know what is the recipe in order to achieve 200g cake pieces? Or should I halve the choc cake recipe of yours?

Pls. advise, thanks.

Hi Cherly,

Just make any 2 eggs cake and you can have more than enough for 200 gm.
