I just wonder.. hmmm i was taught in sch that... muffins is not so fine in texture but nowadays most of the muffins are fine...

what do u think?

coz when i make muffin the batter still have lumps then i bake it.. that's what i was taught though..

But when pple eat it they ask why not as fine?

shouldnt muffin slightly rougher in texture yet moist?

Hi wombat,

You're right. Muffins should not be fine...they are more dense. The fine texture ones are called cupcakes but in Singapore we prefer the fine texture.

Muffins actually uses the mixing lightly and stirring method while cupcakes are using the creaming method.

just wondering, what is 'praline'?
cz i heard this word so many times in diff meanings.
some says it's a type a choc.
some says it's a name of processed choc. and some.. some.. some.. hehe

so, care to explain it to me ya!
