Hi Aunty,

I have tried out my breadmaker. It Ok lah. I have to use the basic bread function to knead the dough for about 20mins before I switch it to the dough mode. Yet I still can't get an elastic dough. I have made two loaf of breads on Thursday. A Milk loaf baked totally in the breadmaker and a Cream Cheese loaf used the dough cycle and bake in the oven. Both turned out to be very soft and fluffy. Even today it still soft.:)

Need your advice. Why my breads is slightly yellowish? Is it due to the egg yolk or butter?

Hi LiYing,

I'm looking for Kenwood MBI350. I called Tangs and Harvey Norman but they don't carry this model.

Yellowish bread...could be due to butter and sugar caramelizing or a lot of egg yolks.

For Sandwich loaf, it's white in colour because the amount of sugar is very small and no egg yolks or butter needed.

Hi Aunty,
Thanks for your replied. Can I omit the egg yolk. I also did try out Tang Zhong, it a failure. The dough turn out to be too wet.

Aunty, I think what you meant is KENWOOD Model no.BM350 645watt. After I bought this then I found out this higher wattage, with 2 more functions than mine and separate on off button breadmaker. It too late.:( Maybe you can check out Ngee Ann City "Best Denki".

Hi Liying,

Sandwich loaf normally does not have egg yolks. Brioche which is a french bread has egg yolks which makes the bread softer.

O.K..I will call Taka Best Denki.

thanks.

Hi Aunty,

Oh, ok now I understand already.
Thanks you very much. I'm going to try out a few more recipes on my breadmaker so that I can understand my new toy well.
