Wholemeal Bread
Ingredients:
280 gm. Bread Flour
100 gm. Plain flour
65 gm. wholemeal flour - soak in milk for 20 mins.
230ml Cold milk
1 Egg
40g Butter
1 tsp Salt
30g Sugar
2 tsp Instant yeast
Method:
(1) Put all the ingredients into a mixer bowl except butter. Beat till it forms into an elastic dough. After 10 mins of beating, add in butter and continue beating till it's well combined.
(2) Cover and rest for 1 hour.
(3) Roll dough into a ball, divide into 4 pcs , roll into round ball again and let it rest for 10 mins.
(4) Roll each dough into a rectangle and then roll it up like a swiss roll. Place side by side into a sandwich loaf tin with cover - about 8 1/2 " x 4" .
(5) Leave to rest for about an hour or till it reached 3/4 the height of the tin. After 1 hour if the dough doesn't reach the 3/4 height, continue to let it rise.
(6) Bake in a preheated oven 190C for about 30 mins.

Hi Aunty,
Ooh ok. But I found that buying on line seem to be very expensive especially from others country. I wanted to buy bundt pan on line but found that it too expensive. So I went to Chong Trading, wow it also so expensive. Aunty, have you ever used a silicon bundt pan to bake your cake? Will the cake bake in a silicon bundt pan brown nicely like those bake in a metal pan?
rgds,
Hi Aunty,
I read your blog at least two times a day. I love to see your baking.
I wonder if I could have the recipe for this. My email address is nguyenkcmi@yahoo.com
Thanks
Hi Liying,
No..the silicone pan won't stick. It works but of course the Nordic bundt pan has sharper features and the pattern and design stays. The silicone bundt pan will normally have a nice golden colour but the nordic type normally turns darker thus giving it a very black look.

Hi Aunty,
Thanks for the replied. Then I will go and get a silicon bundt pan. Hehe it much cheaper so can get a few more designs.

hi aunty, what loaf pan size did you use for baking the bread?
Hi pat,
I've already indicated the loaf pan size. it's only a rough guide, so you can plus and minus the inches.
