  10. Wow aunty. Very nice.

May i know what kind of jam do u use? I tried using my normal bread jam as an experiment for my leftover tart cases and the jam 'blew' in the oven! :P

  11. Hi Lucy, is the cheese inside the tarts or inside the jam? Thanks.

  12. Hi Jadelotus,

The cheddar cheese is inside the tart dough.

  13. Hi cherie,

I used fruit jam filling which I bought from Sun Lik. Those bottled Jam has too much sugar, so they normally boil up very quickly and spill over the side.

  18. Dear aunty yochana and sue...

I dont have the right amount of recipe. It's my agar agar amount haha. and ya is my memory of what i eat when i am little so there might be lack of ingredient. My grandpa say i lack of winter melon preserved ones

    There it goes..

    Glutinous rice (soak overnight)
    brown sugar( orange)
    Red dates
    Longan
    ginko nut (cooked)
    lotus seed
    peanuts (soak overnight)
    winter melon

Boil the longan and red dates until the fragant and color is out. add in the peanut and lotus seed. After sometime when is soften (if u like it very soft then boil until very soft if not can leave it as abit crunchy) then add in yr rice... boil it until gluey and like porridge. Then add in yr sugar. Lastly add in ginko nut and winter melon. Winter melon is optional.

    Hope u guys like this.
It's my grandpa's foochow's dessert. Very traditional... is like now hardly seen.

This dessert will take abt 3hrs to cook.. If u have pressure cooker use it. :)

I will be away from 18th feb.. going for surgery anything feel free to ask i will reply u when i am back.

    regards,
    Geraldine
