For the coloured ones, I normally use an 8" sq tin.

Hi Geraldine,

You need to practice on the simple "Lapis lengit or Speckok" before you embark on this skill consuming lapis. I don't have the time to teach though.

Hi aunty yochana.. thanks for yr reply. I have tried making lapis. It turn out not too bad :D the layers are pretty even and colors too.

that's why i thought of asking u how u did yr patterns.

Buy this book "Malaysian Layered Cake" by Vickie Chieng. She has some diagrams to teach you how to make it.
