Is this steamed or baked? Looks interesting. By the way, is it possible to get a copy of the recipe for steamed cakes that you have posted?

Thanks,
fiona

Aunty :
may i ask if this receipe is similar to your blueberry egg white layered cake except that butter is replaced with the cream cheese instead for this making?
cheerios.

Aunty, just wondering, how do you steam.. is it like our normal steaming where we put water at the bottom? Ain't the water going to dry up? Do you need to open up the lid to add more water? If this is the case, will it cause the cake to sink?

Hi forever friend,

Yes you need to use a steamer, fill water at the bottom then place your cake in the center level and steam layer by layer. If the water dries up, just pour in more water. No it will not sink because you are steaming layer by layer.

Aunty, thanks. This seems to be like lapis sagu where it is also steamed by layer, but this is cake. Very interesting. Sorry, another question, how about your steamed chocolate cake.. do you steam w/o opening up and add water? How is this different from this layered cake? Thanks for sharing.
