Dear Aunty, I made baked mooncakes over the weekend. They were quite alright although the colour of the skin abit uneven, some dark brown and some pale, not like yours where it's a nice even golden brown. Could I ask you if the refrigerated pastes from Kwong Cheong Thye (such as the cranberry red wine) can be used in baked mooncakes or are they only to be used in ping pei? Is there a difference? Thank you.
