Dear Aunty Lucy,

Wow, looks like you have almost complete alan's "mooncake" recipe,
was wondering which specialty shop here carry those lotus filling used in his book including this micky wooden mould?

Hi Yvonne,

I don't buy the traditional and pandan lotus paste. I cook it myself (my mum actually did it). For other flavours like red wine, green tea, cranberry..etc...I will buy them.

Hi Yvonne,

Oh..I forgot to answer this..
You can get these cute wooden moulds from Sun Lik and Phoon Huat.

Dear Aunty Lucy,

Made this today, used cocoa powder to dust the wooden mould, not sure am I doing it right this way? did you brush on syrup or egg yolk as yours seems to be more grossy.

Besides, did you come across any specialty shop here selling the truffle shell (for those snow skin ganache filling) ?

Hi Yvonne,

I used egg white to glaze it , not on purpose tho....just that I had too much egg white left.

No..I've not come across truffle shells. Perhaps someone out there can help.
