Normally I put my shortening on the table. I didn't put in my fridge cos my fridge has not space for it. If you use it fast enough, then you don't have to store in the fridge but if you won't be using it soon, you can put in the fridge.

aunt yochana,
i felt so glad when u announced that u've decided to post recipes again! i'm so so happy!
i would like to ask what's skimmed milk?
hi anonymous,
Skimmed milk - skim means removing scum from the surface of the milk.
So skimmed milk is milk that has been skimmed.

Hi Mummy Lucy great bakes as usual...this looks so pretty!
Just to confirm with anonymous, skimmed milk is milk that has almost zero percent fat in it.
Oh Thanks Stef, I know I can count on you. I didn't know it has zero percent fat...never read content lah...hahaha

anonymous,
You can get skimmed milk in Jasons supermarket. I've seen it in other supermarkets too like Cold Storage.

Anything for you,Mummy Lucy! =)
Anonymous,it is usually readily available anywhere!! Just check with the nearest branch of Cold Storage or NTUC.
Aunty,
Can I know how to store the shortening after opening the can ?
Must in be kept inside the fridge ?
In the freezer or can store it in the normal kitchen cabinet ?
Thanks
