Just out of curiosity, but why is this cake "hot"?
Just curious as to how does the cake taste. Does black pepper agree with chocolate at all? I hv come across some cake recipes that team up chocolate with chilli, I think they r quite popular in Mexico.
I am not aware of chilli ice cream at all so what kind of sensation did it give you ? Did it taste like Thai sweet chili sauce blended with vanilla ice cream ? I can perhaps experiment with this at home as Bkk is just too far for me to visit.
Thx for telling me abt this as i am quite suaku now being so far away fr the region.
That chilli ice-cream was something which I will only try once...good experience tho.
It taste more like chilli boh to me. When you first eat it , you don't feel it but after awhile you can feel a tinge of hotness at your throat...aftertaste thing..hahaha

Hi Melbourne gal,
I couldn't take much of the pepper cos the amount added in is too little.
Have you tried chilli ice-cream? I've tasted it in Bangkok, funny huh..
