hi aunty, may i know where u get the passion fruit? is it seasonal? coz most of the time i cant find so i have to resort to using the artificial paste which is made of guava + passion fruit flavouring :(

Hi marissa,

There are a few species of passionfruit.

the ones I used today are from Malaysia and they are much cheaper then those imported from Australia. Fro 3 passionfruit, I paid about S$1-75. I bought them from Cold Storage at Taka. I think Jasons have them too.

Aunty Lucy, was this THE recipe you tried? Hope you liked it... =)

Yes Stef,

This is your recipe. I used Mascarpone cheese instead of cream cheese. It is very delicious and smooth but I think it's better to add in more gelatine leaves if using mascarpone.

Thanks for the recipe.

Hi Aunty Lucy, it is ok for us as we like a softer set cheesecake...but if you prefer, sure, add 1 more gelatine leaf. Did you make this with the original amount or you added more? Setting looks ok to me...

Stef,

I used 3 leaves instead of 2.

Hi Aunty Yochana,

I think it looks better than Pierre Herme's Passion Fruit Cake at http://www.globalchefs.com/chef/current/chef057herInter.htm
More real Passion Fruit Juice.
