Aiyoh Mummy Lucy I cannot tahan when I see your macaroons and banana cake!! Must....eat!!! Well done... =)
Not yet!! Not even started....it starts from 21st April onwards till 5th May I'm being naughty girl to come and tou kan your bakes instead of studying heehee....
Nice macarons Aunty Yochana, but I noticed that yours do not have any of those infamously-difficult-to-obtain feet? You prefer them feetless??
Hah, I tried making them before -mine had no feet too- and they tasted good but I couldn't get them off my baking parchment! How did you get them off yours? Or did you use a silicon baking mat?
Hahaha..it's not that I don't want to achieve the feet but failed to achieve that. I will continue trying to get my feet right. Cheryl, you're right, though no feet but it's simply delicious. With hazelnut, it's even better, cos I love hazelnut. I baked them on a special teflon paper and it's easy to come out.
I tried making the chocolate macaroons once. It puff up nicely in the oven. But after removing from the oven, it flatten and became wrinkled. I tink is the whipping of egg white. I'm still no good in it.
Your macaroon reminds me of Pierre Herme's. I was searching for macaroon recipe forever and have found his book from the library. I have never tested it but it is suppose to be a great pastry. I bet they taste good.
