Hello yochana, for the mini doughnut ,I saw on the back ground, doughnut machine/equipment?, so this is not a fried dougnut?, is it taste the same like fried dougnut, where I can order the machine?, could you please give me the recipes for the mini doughnut. Thank you so much for your help.
wow... this doughnut looks so airy....
what is the texture like?
Hi Aunty Yochana,
I saw the doughnut tray at takashimaya. Do you bake these in the oven? Any recipes that I can follow? =)
wow Lucy, very lovely shaped doughnuts u ve made! so nice...
Hi didally,
I also got the small doughnut tray but this is not a tray. It's like a waffle maker...no need to bake in the oven.

Hi sally,
This doughnut is using baking powder and surprisingly, it's soft till the next day. I will try the instant yeast version soon.

Lucy, do you think the recipe will work with the normal oven?
Thanks.

I made this using normal oven and my doughnut tray. I would say it doesn't taste like regular doughnut - more like a cake to me but my kids and me like it. Something I will make often as it is easy. FYI, I turned the doughnut halfway through baking to get an even browning. Thanks for sharing Lucy :)
You're smart girl Zu....can add in some cheddar cheese if you like or some raisins too. then can also glaze with melted chocolate.
rgds.
Aunty Lucy,
Do you think I can use my waffle maker using this recipe?
Hi reena,
Yes definitely can....the mini doughnut maker has the same concept as the waffle maker. Happy baking.

can i replace the eggs with something else?
Hi, thanks for all the wonderful recipes u gave us. I have made the doughnut using the doughnut maker, similar to yours but it turned out 1 side is darker than the other side. Do you know why? I followed exactly like your recipe given. The maker will automatically off after 2 mins (when it's done). Thks.
Hi Ann,
are u using the same brand as mine?
rgds
I am using "Cuisintec" brand
Hi yochana, enjoy browsing your blog. your doughnut looks very light. do you know where to get the maker besides from Thailand like yours? tq
Hi Aunty, can you give the recipe for the instant yeast one? I followed this recipe and it tasted really good except that it does not rise as well as yours. How do i make it rise higher?
Nadiana
Hi Yochana,
I'm from the Netherlands and i've tried your mini dougnut recipe. They were so soft and yummy, i added more suger to the batter, because i didn't coat them with sugar. Thanks for the recipe!
looks so yummy and simple to make. Most importantly, it is oil free
