Chocolate Oat & Nut Cookies


125 gm. Butter
25 gm. shortening
90 gm. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla essence
1/4 tsp. Bicarbonate of Soda
20 gm. Corn Flour
200 gm. Self raising flour
25 gm. Quaker Oats
20 gm. wholemeal flour
10 gm. cocoa powder
1 no. egg
30 gm. Roasted almond nib
30 gm. chocolate chips


(1) Beat butter, shortening and castor sugar till soft.
(2) Add in egg and mix well. Add in vanilla essence.
(3) Then add in dry ingredients and mix together into a dough.
(4) Roll the dough into small balls and place onto baking tray. If you like, press down the ball with a fork to make an impression on the cookie.
(5) Bake at 160C for about 20 to 25 mins. or till cooked.
