Hi Aunty Yochana,
How you do all the thin layers??? I always have problem cutting layers with my cakes... they always break into crumbs...
It's very difficult to cut a cake into thin layers....as what you have said, it will turn to cake crumbs.
What you can do is to bake the sponge in a big square tray and bake a thin layer of sponge and then cut into slices and sandwich them with jam (stacking method). I hope you understand.

Do you mean doing a 'fake' layer for the sides only and the actual cake do not have so many layers?
hi angeleyes,
there is nothing fake in this cake. The layered cakes are thin sponge sandwiched together with jam.
