Beautiful gingerbread house. Too bad that I'm staying at Teck Whye (near Chua Chu Kang), if not I will drop to steal your gingerbread house for my coffee break.

Hi windyqal,

gosh...lucky you are at the other Chu kang....hahaha.

Anyway, you're welcome to eat the gingerbread house. Nice to look at but not nice to eat though.

thanks Cranberry for your kind words.

Hello Precious Moments...no need Ikea. Since you're going to make gingerbread for your prince and princess, make more dough and cut out into pieces for the gingerbread house.

Wow Aunty Yochana, do you actually welcome people to your house? Hehe I would love to pay you a visit too to look at how you bake...REally love to see all your beautiful creations!

By the way, I just tried the swiss roll again yesterday. This time, i tried not to overmix it and it turn out nice and soft. But, as i did it too fast, hoping not to overmix it, there were some pockets of white flour in the cake! haiz so sad. But i will try again next time.

Is the swiss roll suppose to be small and thin? Mine when rolled into a log makes a small petite one only. Is it because of the size of pan i used?

Hi didally,

Whereabout are you staying?

Aimei, You're doing well...continuing practicing and it will become perfect. thin and small is still ok to make a christmas log cake.
